Question for Kerry Dixon

by Irvinchangeyaname » 02 Dec 2009 13:55

Kerry Dixon is the guest at a charity event next week at a local football club down here in Sussex. He's doing a Q&A session along with 'Chopper' Harris.

Any suggestions for the question I put to him??? IThe whole audience will be Chelsea and so it'd be nice to put a Royals question to him.

I was thinking, 'Have you got any regrets leaving Reading, playing in front of 3000 fans, to play for a small London club?'

You could ask him what it was like trying to be a manager at Doncaster when the chairman was actively trying to force the club to go bust - including burning down the main stand.

You could ask him about the bath incident that Paul Canoville mentions in his book.

I imagine his answer to be.........

" Funny you should say that. Yes. How's he doing? Bit older now I guess eh? We're all not getting any younger"

Favourite goal for Reading?
Just how depressing was scoring 4 at Doncaster and still losing?
Is it true your dad had his own cop programme on the BBC in the 60s and early 70s?
Why did you sell your electronics business to Currys?
Are you proud of your daughter on Strictly?

Oh and, Ron, what are your memories of Reading FC and why are you called Chopper, is it because you were a tough tackling no nonsense centre back or because you had a large helicoptor?

Kerry,
Do you ever have sleepless nights and any regrets about leaving Reading and by doing so converting my son to Chelseaanity?

I like that one Barry. Would be nice to ask a question directly related to his time with us.

He was a lot fitter in his footballing days RL - but retiring and lack of training takes it's toll.
