Late Kick Off

by Silver Fox » 19 Jan 2010 09:21

Can't find the original thread, or if there's a new one, but that regional football league programme started last night, I didn't realise and just caught the end. From waht I saw

Jonathan Pearce presenting - christ no
Andy Steggall reporting - hell to the no
Murts and rosenior senior on the sofa - not too bad

I don't know if they'll have the south coast bias that all previous regional coverage has ever had but the fact that they did a feature on Pompey in a football league programme doesn't bode that well. Speaking of which, old John Westwood is particularly gimp when he's wandering around upright isn't he? + LOLz @ their protest, 15 or so old people and a retarded tattoo freak who still lives with his mum

Reading has always had an identity crisis when it comes to "regions". When I was a kid, some people in our street would get Southern, some Midlands (ATV) and some (us) LWT (Brian Moore on The Big Match ftw) . The same thing happens on BBC regions today. We are sort of London, South, South East and Oxford.

We had one TV in the house that got Thames and one that got central. At Dad's house, he got southern.

Crazy times.

That's because due to the transmitters used - you can pick up both in both areas - some people in Wycombe will have London others South same in Brighton.

I'm live in the London region, but I've got Sky and they do the BBC regions up in the high 900 channels. BBC South is 984 for us. Didn't watch it last night, but have it on Sky+. Was it worth watching overall? I saw Forest v Reading's goals, but then I went to bed.

Our version was and Mackay was the guest for the programme so we got covered well.

Mostly about Victor Moses and the troubles at QPR.

Nice to get something other than Newcastle/Leeds running the show as on the main programme!
