Jake Taylor has completed his move to League Two side Exeter City after the two clubs agreed he could sign on a free transfer.

Taylor became part of the first team set-up at Reading after moving through from the youth teams. He made his Reading debut in August 2010 but only made one more appearance for Reading that season before moving to Aldershot and then Exeter on loan. He is well known at Exeter after his successful spell with the club in the 2011/2012 season where he made 26 starts for the side and scored three goals.

His best spell with Reading was the start of the 2014/2015 season when he became a regular in the first team squad before losing his place later in the season. In total he clocked up 36 Reading appearances and scored three goals before again finding himself shipped out on loan. An unsuccessful spell in Scotland on loan at Motherwell eventually ended early, allowing him to join Exeter City on a permanent contract.
